The foundation should preferably be flat, stable and able to support the weight of the storage structure. It’s also recommended that the foundation has a moisture barrier to prevent water seeping up from the ground and damaging the structure. We generally assemble storage warehouses on a well-packed gravel foundation. However, we can install them on all types of surfaces. Concrete, asphalt, gravel and paving stones are all viable options!
Because their steel frames are made of high-strength steel, fabric structures have a lifespan of several decades. The technical lifespan of the technical textile is about 25 to 30 years, but you can easily change it out if you need to, without affecting the frame. All steel frames in our fabric structures are hot-dip galvanized and therefore completely rust-protected in accordance with EN 1461.
A fabric structure requires very little maintenance. However, it should be inspected at regular intervals for loose or damaged seams, tears or slits in the fabric and any signs of moisture infiltration. If you’re interested, we offer service and maintenance contracts upon agreement. We’ll then service the hall ourselves so you can feel confident that all the maintenance is taken care of and that all inspection requirements are followed in a safe and economical way.
A fabric structure can take a lot of wind, but it’s important to make sure the structure is properly attached to the ground. Our constructions are developed according to the EN Eurocodes, which require calculations of snow and wind loads for the precise location in which each structure is to be assembled.
Yes, they are. We are, of course, certified in accordance with EN 1090, which governs load-bearing components of structures. Companies that manufacture load-bearing components using the EN Eurocodes must get certified in accordance with EN 1090. As a certified manufacturer, we issue a declaration of performance and CE marks, both of which certify that our products meet these standards.
Break-ins in fabric structures are generally very rare. They’re not completely burglary-proof, but they can be made more secure by using padlocks on the zippers. If, for whatever reason, you require greater anti-theft protection, we recommend adding extra fittings such as metal-clad sides. We can help you design your structure according to your needs.
